Installation Technician
Job Description:
This is a mid-level Electrical-Multi-pin connector position which is responsible for fabrication and installation of multi pin connectors.
CRCI is one of the leading providers of skilled trades for new construction and shipyard repair work. CRCI is seeking an Electrician with certification in multi-pin connectors for the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. This position may require travel.
Position Specific Skills:
Must have 5 years previous experience as a marine electrician/connector technician
Must be able to make up multi-pin connectors and shipboard power hook-ups.
Fiber optic connector experience desirable
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Position is a mid-level technician. Inspects, repairs, maintains and modifies multi pin connectors and other specialty connectors. Applies understanding of production and processes to assignments. Interfaces with customers. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May assist in the development and use of technical documents including controlled work packages, drawings, schematic diagrams, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and tasks or trip reports. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
Qualifications
Must have multi-pin connector certification
Must be willing to work any shift available
HS education or Trade School or Navy C-School
Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces
Able to perform other duties ans required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels
May require wearing a respirator
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States
