Supervisor
Job Description:
CRCI currently has an opening for an Installation Supervisor for our Naval Ship and Shipyard production, installation and fabrication work areas.
The Supervisor will report to the Program Manager. The Installation Supervisor will lead a crew of skilled trade personnel in an area of shipboard installation with responsibility for fabrication and/or assembly, installation and maintenance of all electrical systems and projects. The Installation Supervisor will manage the assigned crew to attain quality, schedule and cost objectives, and will review and understands department, organization and company goals and objectives along with supporting and execution of plans that ensure positive predictable results while maintaining quality and a safe working environment.
Position Specific Skills:
Oversee safety and security procedures, implements organizational policies and goals
Measures performance to budget and supports the Program Manager in budget analysis and adherence
Supervises production and personnel of assigned projects or spec items
Manages work in accordance with production control plan
Plans overtime and schedules resources as required by Program Manager
Interfaces with Program manager to revise project and facility objectives
Implements all company policies and procedures to assigned personnel
Assist Program Manager with the preparation and submission of proposals, reviewing technical content, personnel requirements, management plans and execution costs
Monitor assigned projects at job sites and ensure the customer is satisfied
Work closely with the respective Program Managers to monitor the task performance and efficient utilization of man-hours and resources
Develop personal rapport with each project and customers, which will enhance the possibility of repeat business
Perform as the company representative for meetings with project customers (e.g., NAVSEA, TYCOMs, Squadrons, Shipyards, etc.) to discuss changes in scope of performance or requirements, schedule conflicts, production delays, cost issues, when directed by the Program Manager
Qualifications
Former Naval and/or Commercial Shipyard experience; or High School/GED with extensive military training and experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems and quality assurance/control requirements
Minimum five years supervisory experience working in Engineering Organizations and/or in Shipyards engaged in Shipbuilding/Ship Conversion or Ship Repair
*Relevant experience in shipyard with very good supervisory experience along with good experience in the production related and execution related work in a ship building environment
